I have been practicing psychotherapy with adults and couples since 2018 in a variety of settings, including an outpatient mental health clinic and group private practice. I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Brooklyn, New York in 2006. After several years, working as a musician and barista, I went back to school to complete a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Brooklyn College and 2 years of post-graduate psychoanalytic psychotherapy training at the Training Institute for Mental Health in Manhattan.
I continue to pursue music as a jazz and rock drummer and find that my creative practice is an important support for my own mental health. Music often inspires and challenges me in a variety of ways that support my emotional and psychological well-being. In addition to exploring my mind-body connection and non-verbal expression, playing with other musicians has helped me understand myself in relationship with others.
